Our investment calculator shows how investing your money could help you to achieve your all-important financial goals. It provides you with a rough idea of the potential returns you could receive if your invested over a set period of time.

Share what you want to achieve, how much you think you’ll need, and when you want to reach your target amount by. We’ll then ask you about where you are now and your attitude to risk, to give you an idea of what you might need to do.   

Things you should know

  • These calculations are only examples. They are based on your chosen risk level and don’t consider any tax you may have to pay.
  • The figures provided are calculated with the help of Moody’s analytics, using current forecasts and assumptions. They aren’t a reliable indicator of future performance.
  • The values in the forecasts have been adjusted to show the impact of inflation and annual charges of 1% per annum, which is why cash values appear to fall. (We are assuming a cash rate of 1.69%).
  • Our assumed inflation rate of 2% reflects a long-term view of inflation and matches the Bank of England’s 2.0% target. The actual rate of inflation will vary and can be higher or lower.

It’s easy to get started
